Chinese scientists have announced the launch of a new project. Within its framework, a new generation amphibious rocket will be created, which can fly both in the air and under water. Engineers have already started creating this weapon.
The missile is designed to strike enemy ships. Its length is 5 meters. The warhead is capable of flying at an altitude of 10,000 meters at a distance of up to 200 km.
Also, the rocket can turn on the torpedo mode and dive under water to a depth of 100 m. The maximum speed in the air is 2450 km/ h, under water — 360 km/ h.
Diving underwater will allow the missile to evade air defense. China has already begun pilot testing of this missile. The novelty has no name yet. It is noted that scientists have yet to finish the power plant, which will be able to provide sufficient thrust.
